The Hungry Caterpillar Planter
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and I cannot express how important it is to celebrate the teachers in your child’s life! Here is a cute little Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea that you and your child can do together and the best part is that it doesn’t require a lot of time or effort but still just as special.
This Teacher Appreciation gift is inspired by the popular children’s book, The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle!
Supplies Needed:
Pot
Plant of choice
Red, Yellow, & Green paint
Green and red pom poms
Purple pipe cleaner
Tiny googly eyes
Clothespin
Glue (I recommend hot glue for this one)
Instructions:
Attach the pom poms to the top of the clothespin with the red pom pom in front for the head.
Add the googly eyes and cut the pipe cleaner for the antennas.
Allow your child to paint the pot in the selected colors of red, yellow, and green.
Pick out a plant for the pot.
*Great plant options include aloe vera, cacti, succulents, pothos, or string of hearts or pearls.
Don't forget to sign your name on the pot!
Enjoy!
