Bird Feeder Craft

This craft was inspired by the book called “ When We Fly” by Jess M’Geachin. This fun and easy craft will welcome back all of the birds for Spring!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Egg Carton

  • Birdseeds

  • Paint

  • Sponge brush

  • Spring Inspired Stickers

  • Pen or Scissors

Here’s What You’ll Do:

1.Take the teal-colored paint and paint your egg carton. Use the sponge brush and a different paint color to add polka dots or a different pattern. Allow the paint to completely dry!

2.Add the spring-inspired stickers to your egg carton.

3.Then with the help of an adult, use a pen or scissors to poke a hole in the two cones of the egg carton (see picture).

4.Thread the string through the holes and tie it from underneath the egg carton. Feel free to trim the string to your desired length.

5.Add in your birdseed.

6.Hang your egg carton bird feeder in a spot high enough but close enough for you to watch.

7.Paintently wait for the birds to enjoy their new feeder!

You’re all done! Super easy and quick craft to do with your little one. Make sure to share your craft on social media by tagging us @tyrannosaurustot or using the hashtag #totcrafts
