Ocean Floor Craft
We are enjoying the summer weather and all the beach adventures and we’re keeping the fun going with the beautiful, fun rhyming book Here Comes Ocean by Meg Flemming. You and your child will work together to make a replica of the ocean floor!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Wood Circle
Glue
Sand
Seashells
Gems
Pom Poms
Paper strips
Pipe cleaner
Here’s what you’ll do:
First, take your wood circles and cover it in glue. Then, over a plate, sprinkle the sand all over the glue and wooden circle, creating the base of the wood circle.
Next, glue on your bigger pieces, such as the seashells, gems, and pom poms.
Take the paper strips and roll them into a pre-cut pieces of paper, loosely roll them or fan them out to create sea grass. Glue these pieces to the ocean floor.
Now, take the pipe cleaner pieces and slightly bend and curve them into different shapes and then glue them to the ocean floor.
Glue on the remaining small pieces where there is space.
Admire your cool new ocean floor!
